Around Contact with Artyom Markov 1-3 February
February 1 @ 8 h 00 min - February 3 @ 17 h 00 min
A more detailed and precise differentiation in the body (finding new connections and sometimes discovering areas of the body you were unaware of) leads to a better articulation and movement conductivity. In order to meet our Embodied Mind we will dedicate a lot of time to experiencing and rethinking bodily processes. Then, from the state of resource and pleasure we will step into the contact dance. I will use the material from the somatic approaches including BMC and Feldenkrais method.
The technical part will be focussed around learning the lifts on the different levels (from the floor to the standing position) with a partner. This is enough to dance a technically rich dance. If we are lucky, we’ll try rolling on the partner’s shoulders. The approach I’m teaching in allows to do these things very gently. I would like to highlight that the quality is more important to me than the result.
We will work on the cohesion and the connections within the dance. Apart from that we will learn to observe our own dance as well as the dance of the others, which would allow us to see the beauty of the moment in here-and-now.
